Ardia are monsters that can be found in Mama Tree, Forward Base and Dark Forest Outpost. They first appeared during the 2019 Forest Expedition event, and later became permanent creatures when the Forest Expedition sections reopened. An Ardia swarm was part of the Festival of Oge Mai. During the expedition, Ardia was the easiest way to farm Expedition Tokens, so many Dust Warriors fought several hundred of them.
Ardia and its variants are often referred to as Ardi or Ardi* bugs.
Lore[]
Night in the Forest glitters with the lights of Ardia. They were among the first creatures I saw, and the most prevalent. If you go near specific trees, it's a little hard to breath without sucking one in, and they're more annoying than Pesters most times, but harmless... unless they're Dusted. That makes them grow larger, and when they sting whoever's nearby, they're actually passing on Dust, which means that in a group, they can be extremely dangerous. The good part, though, is that having them hang around the base camp makes it easier to use the latrines at night.

During the Festival of Oge Mai, Arida also dropped a Festival of Oge Mai Expedition Token and For the Valley Reactions.
During the Forest Expedition, Ardia also dropped an Expedition Token.
Ardia's drops were slightly altered in early October 2023 to include Coins instead of Dust.
