Bad Luck Ridan? is a side quest in the Guardian's Lair.
It first appeared during the Festival of Oge Mai. If you completed it then, it will not appear in the Guardian's Lair. If you picked the quest up, but did not complete it, the rewards changed when the Festival was integrated into the main game.

So far I've learned that they prefer to claw instead of bite, the sound they make right before they attack sounds like a Pester's cry, and that their teeth puncture trees so they can lap up the sweet sap! Ridan are such fascinating creatures! I want to learn much more about them, and I think 15 battles will be enough, but I'll probably need some Ardia to lure them in as well.
