Betula is a creature that can be found in the Caretaker's Garden Expedition Area after completing the quest By the Roots! (1/2).
It first appeared as part of the Caretaker's Garden Event.
Lore[]
There are creatures who Dust Warriors sense by smell and others by sound—Betula is one of the latter, and you can tell how mature the creature is depending on what type of sounds you hear. I've seen younger Betula chewing on the molting bark they strip from their hide, so if it's a moist, chewing noise, then they still have room to grow. Adults make a snapping and crackling sound; they break off protruding branches from their body and use them to wear down their always growing teeth. The cud becomes a great fertilizer, one the Caretaker greatly prizes.
