Bruja

Bruja is a Seven Moon Clan warrior available in Three Points Crossing, Gansu Watering Hole, and Riza.

She appeared as part of the Caretaker's Garden event.

Her word count was decreased from 900 to 500 in mid March 2024, with the timer decreasing from 180 to 45 minutes. In addition, her XP and drops were altered.

I can understand why the City Guard said Brujas were kind of creepy. Dust flows freely from their hands and their eyes are fully fuchsia. Suwö was able to tell me a bit more. 7 Moon Clan women have three paths before when they become an adult: warrior, mother, or Bruja. Not many choose such a large sacrifice. Those that do spend months roaming the desert without a home, tool, or ally. She's to become one with Dust, walking, breathing, eating it. Becoming it after the final ritual. If they survive... when they return... they're worshiped as a Dust Speaker.

Women of the 7 Moon Clan have three paths to pick from when they become adults. Those that don't become Caravan mothers, or warriors, become Brujas. Because of the personal sacrifice necessary, only 1 in 20 women will choose to become a Bruja. Once a Bruja has taken her oath she spends the next 4 months roaming the desert, without a home, tool, creature, or ally to help her. She is to become one with the dust and for this, she doesn't need anything else but to walk on it, breathe it, eat it, and eventually, when the final ritual is complete, become the dust. Women who survive return as Brujas. Worshiped as a dust speaker.
