Rosarin offered to guide me up the treacherous Meteoroid and to where the Alien Spaceship and Research Lab are, but first, she needs to deal with a family of infected Nartha. Nedi, overhearing us, asked me to explain how Dust Warriors... breathe? Wait, in 4,000 words? Um... I guess I can always add adjectives... and adverbs too! But then what?!

Maesc is one of the new rock creatures that has appeared. They have a double layer of spikes on them, half rock and half Dinti. There's a problem though, in that they love cuddling... which means non-rocky creatures are in danger of being spiked. I'm going to battle 20 and find the best way for everyone to get wanted hugs.

With all of the Brachi and Rhan scurrying and scuttling about the area, it's a bit of a rocky road for people to make their way to the research station. I've heard that if I can clear out 10 Brachi and 5 Rhan, I can rock a new spiky hat - better get started before I'm bombarded by falling rocks!

All over the ship are tiny rock Teraleo tucked into crevices and sticking to the ceiling. Szalin has found them in the electrical wires, Kovar's noticed them eating from the food storage, and they've been causing a ruckus around the impact crater. The aliens have requested help controlling this pesty infestation, and they're offering up a necklace commemorating this event.

Bad news. Well, good and bad news. The bad news is that there are even more rock creatures than there were before. The good news is that if I defeat 5 Krang, 3 Erbor, 10 Halix, and 4 Galatre, I can grab a rock skirt. The best news? Seeing all these fights that'll help me be a stronger Dust Warrior!

It's almost as if the news that the aliens are coming back has made the crash site popular; I swear I've seen plenty of rock creatures that weren't there were before. I'm going to, ah, "study" them a bit. Defeating every rock creature should help me catalog the new beings which will help us all understand how they got here.

To get to the top of the rock pile, I'm going to need to defeat 4 each of all the rock creatures. This is going to require a lot of time and energy, but when this is done, I'll have a Rock Crown to prove my prowess on this rocky battlefield (and hopefully the creatures will go hibernate a bit).

Navigator Raysi, Log One The first thing I need to do is gather information about the gravity of this new planet we've crashed on. Gravity might be the weakest of the four fundamental interactions of physics, but the ship will need to know how much speed is needed for compensation. A goal of 10,000 words is enough for preliminary mathematics.

Navigator Raysi, Log Two Specifics are set, and the ship is contemplating how much thrust will be needed. I've decided that another 15,000 words would be best to speed the process up (and more speed is never a bad thing.) On my own, 10k was hard to achieve - I wonder if these "Dust Warriors" can help me gather more data?

Navigator Raysi, Log Three The natives of this planet are very kind; many Dust Warriors have promised me aid. (I think we were lucky in the timing of our crash as it seems we have landed during a festival praising the very idea of collecting words.) To ease my worries, I wish to get at least 50k words in total.

Navigator Raysi, Log Four It seems that the small worries, the small ones that could happen with a 1% or 2% chance, are the ones that always come true. It's Eurphies' Rule all over again, but at least only the first one. The ship lost 90% of the data due to Dust entering the exhaust port...I'll need 25k more words.

Navigator Raysi, Log Five I was concerned about the need for more words since the festival celebrates at 50k, but it seems there are many Dust Warriors that Captain Piak would call tenacious. This should be my last call for aid. One last 25k will complete my data sheets and allow me to calculate the force for a successful liftoff.

Biologist Rosarin, Log One Landing on a new planet, one with a completely different atmosphere and environment requires clothing that is better able to protect its wearer. I've come up with the idea of a Space Bodysuit thanks to Navigator Raysi's original design, but mine will need about 25,000 words before it's done and ready to go through rigorous testing."

Biologist Rosarin, Log Two Now I see why Navigator Raysi had five different ones, the designs look great on paper, but when out in the environment they'd not performing as well as I'd hoped they would. 25,000 more words should be good for testing, especially since, if the explosions are anything to go by, Zals's experimenting in the lab again.

Biologist Rosarin, Log Three Okay, this should be the last 50,000 I need to make it perfect. Then it'll protect against talons, fangs, Dinti-based weapons, and even electrical strikes. (THAT'S NOT A CHALLENGE SZALIN!) After all this, I should finally be able to go out and start studying the local flora and fauna without driving Nedi and Ledd to worry.

Biologist Rosarin, Log Four My estimates were off. Way off. The Dust in this world is worse than I could have imagined (note: talk with Nedi later, see if they have documents detailing Dust). It'll take more tinkering, but I've got an idea that the Dinti growing here might be the answer... 50,000 more words and third time's the charm!
