Kai is a Rudakai variant which can be found in Luciola Forest. It was first introduced during the Festival of Oge Mai.
Kai's word count used to be 150, and was decreased to 75 in early October 2023, and the time was similarly decreased from 15 to 10 minutes. In addition, their XP and drops were slightly altered.

Young Rudakai are hilarious to watch! They have a lot more energy than adults do and can be seen often tugging on ears, pranking everyone within sight, and using their aura fire to win contests of "How High Can It Go?" Since they're so different, they have the shortened name of Kai. Personally, I think this fits perfectly - when one of them acts up, it takes too long to say their full name. It's also exhausting to play with them, but on the other hand, I've never had so many things to laugh and smile about in the same place.
