Lorsa

Lorsa is a creature found in Mama Tree.

Lorsa's word count used to be 450, and was decreased to 250 in early October 2023. In addition, their time was changed from 50 minutes to 20 minutes and their XP and drops were altered.

A messenger Lorsa brought me a letter that started "to the nearest reader," and implored me to send it to ten of my friends for good luck. I burnt it, gave the bird a berry, then sent it on its way - they've been used to deliver news across the Valley for centuries now, seemingly made for the task (their blue/white coloring is perfect sky camouflage!) Four small head spikes measure the air's polarity so they don't lose direction (though it's not impossible ). Thick fur protects against moisture absorption, and its good protection against Dust, no matter who wears it.

Historical Lore[]

The Lorsa are messengers to the people of Mama Tree and have been used for centuries to deliver important news and messages across the Valley. The three small horns on their heads are used to measure static in the air, allowing them to orient themselves geographically even in the darkest of nights. Thick fur protects their wings by absorbing moisture and keeping the feathers dry. Some say the dust works much faster at such high altitudes and that it is this thick fur that keeps the Lorsa safe. Elders have allowed infected Lorsa to be hunted for their protective fur, an item that has become popular in Luciola Forest clothing.
