So... I figured out a new rule to remember when the Love Dust comes: never stand between a love-stricken Pester and its Rose. Apparently Love Wignows are the ones who grow the Roses during this time, and Pesters live up to their names, pestering the leafy creatures and stealing Roses, which underscores the determined focus of their task. Amusingly, it's not just Roses. They've taken to dressing up, I guess in imitation of the beings they see around the Valley, so they all have a little tiny bow-tie at their neck, making it look like they're wearing a tuxedo.
