Niavaf was a creature available in the Mama Tree Station Expedition Area.
It first appeared as part of the 2022 Station Raising Festival event.
Lore[]
Gliding about the upper branches of the trees in the area are Niavaf. Inquisitive, and less of a energy ball than the Kofui, they will grip a thing branch with their feet, then swing and hang upside down, tusks looking more like fangs. When not watching Dust Warriors work, they open nuts with those tusks, splitting the outside shell to eat inside bits. I've seen that they don't really fly, but have a style that works best with falling. I also saw one dislodge a small orange flower with its tusks, then present it to another creature (who ate it).
