Rif

Rif is a monster available in Three Points Crossing and the Dragon Lair. It first appeared during the August 2020 expansion.

Rif's word count used to be 300, and was decreased to 150 in mid March 2024, with the timer decreasing from 25 to 10 minutes. In addition, its XP and drops were altered.

After hearing from a local complaining about a tiny Rif nibbling on their dried Sakish, I wandered out into the desert to see if I could spot one. You'd think that a black and yellow beak would show up against tan desert sand, but it took me a much longer time to find one that I thought it would. It's actually easier to either look for Sakish and see if the Rif is stalking them or look for little puffs of sand they kick up when running. A word of warning; those beaks are super sharp and they like biting.
