The River Festival was the July 2021 Camp NaNo event. It ran from June 30th-August 3rd.
Event Outline[]
- June 30th
- The event opened with an area: the Raina Sacred Site (Festival Version). Here there were 10 familiar monsters, 4 new monsters, the Raina Rewards Token Store, and 7 new quests.
- During the event, the usual quests and monsters in the Raina Sacred Site were missing for those who had unlocked it.
- July 2nd
- The devs announced the winners of the last gratitude quest and released a new gratitude quest.
- The devs announced that they were partnering with a UX/UI design firm to improve the site. They asked dust warriors to fill out a survey about how they used 4thewords, which could earn Dust Warriors 10 core crystals for participating. They also offered Dust Warriors the chance to be part of a private forum to discuss new changes.
- July 9th
- A new area opened: Underwater Foundations (Festival Version). Here there were 9 familiar monsters, 5 new monsters, the underwater token store, and 6 new quests.
- July 11th
- As we descended into the depths of the Underwater Foundations, we discovered a new creature: the Coral Wignow. It came with a new quest.
- July 13th
- As we descended into the depths of the Underwater Foundations, we discovered a new creature: the Zowfay. It came with a new quest.
- July 16th
- July 19th
- As the dam collapsed more, a new monster got through: the Yista. There was also a new quest.
- July 22nd
- With the dam destroyed, the final two monsters were released: Skraak and Haweisz. A new quest also appeared.
- A community challenge: Upstream Creatures Attack was announced. As a community, Dust warriors had to defeat the following monsters, each of which unlocked a new reward:
- 2,000 Rokris for the Coral Stool house item (Completed July 26th)
- 1,500 Yista for the Coral Helmet wardrobe item (Completed July 27th)
- 2,000 Xonard for the Coral Hand Mirror house item (Completed July 27th)
- 1,000 Skraak for the Coral Top wardrobe item (Completed July 25th)
- 2,000 Haweisz for the Coral Necklace wardrobe item (Completed July 25th)
- July 31st
- The Mormori appeared along with a 2-part quest sequence. The Mormori Plushie was also available in the token store.
- August 1st
- The River Festival Collection (available for Core Crystals) was released.
River Festival Badge[]
The 2021 River Festival badge was given out on August 4th to all dust warriors who fought a monster during the event.
