Spina

Spina is a monster in the Cave, unlocked after Cave main quest 5: It Was Like Lightning.

Away from sharp teeth, I found a new fish that kept inflating itself to float upwards, then deflating itself to sink to the bottom of the pond. Spina... reminded me of Lodo. A little bit at least, like letting the smallest of the currents spin it about so that its energy could be focused on getting to where it wanted to go. Like my smallest companion, Spina looks unassuming and timid when they are out of air, the spikes seeming more decoration than a defense system. I ran a finger along Spina's spine, grinning when it only half-puffed at me.
