Suwö is an NPC who eventually becomes your Companion.
Suwö comes from the Sibawa tribe in the northern mountains. They are mostly a happy tribe, descendants of giants, known equally for their strong warriors and their joyful music. Although little is known about Suwö's past there are accounts of him during his youth working as a Dilu farmer, the main ingredient for the tribe's famous Dí ale. Suwö the farmer fades from history and decades later, when the Dust has arrived in the valley, Suwö the warrior, master of hand to hand combat appears. There are no stories that speak of his training but he is said to have killed more than ten warriors with a single blow of his hammer during the battle of the Elder Forest. Stories say that Tesven sung spells into his giant shield which can hypnotize enemies. After the final siege on the King's Castle was lost, and the Great Migration began, Suwö disappeared again. Some say he has become a wanderer, traveling around the valley selling famous Di beer.
It used to be that Suwö needed to be battled for the main quest in Mama Tree. However, the quests in the early game were reconfigured and he disappeared from the game. As of March 2022, he can be battled in the Shrine of Ages with the Leaders Time Bracelet.

Random Facts[]
When the 7 Moon Clan attacks Mama Tree, Suwö immediately chooses to go defend at Mama Station instead of the Elder Library, commenting that there are "too many civilians preparin' to depart" with a caravan leaving at the next moon.
Relationships[]
Tesven - friends with Tesven, a fellow Dust fighter that he remains in contact with. Suwö jokes that the "old Pester" has been making recruits look for his amulet for years.
7 Moon Clansmen - Does not get along with this faction at all and in Mama Tree talks about fighting desert Brujas, their flame monsters, and clansmen alongside Tesven. "Only shells remain where people once were. Nasty beings, with their souls Dust-poisoned. Not like us."
Zuly Grandstaff - Suwö is impressed with the genius of Zuly's tailoring, saying that if she can't do it then no one else can. It's revealed that she made him Dust-repelling gloves (which he lost when running from a pack of wild Tylus).
Lodo - a Raina in the Riza area, the two generally get along even if Lodo's plans and ideas seem a little too over-the-top for Suwö.
Kuyurata - a rocky relationship, at best, with the scientist of Balance. The two seem to take every opportunity to "joke" and make fun of each other.
Luko - the two Sibawense have a strong bond forged over decades, Dí, and vices (the latter as described by Suwö). The Inn master seems to have a more mature/settled approach to life in comparison and has voiced his concern about Suwö's actions, but whether that was there at the start of their relationship or came about because of their relationship is unknown.
Memorable Quotes[]
"Don't praise a stone for bein' a stone. We Sibawense fight mountains into submission, and a Lombri is nothin' but a large Ylly."
"Youthful vigor often sparks action. Doin' nothin' in these times is just as bad as being a 7 Moon Clansmen."
"There hasn’t been an assault on the Purple Gate in years. The Gate won. The Dust won. We’re all just survivin’ now. Livin’ on borrowed time."
"That bodes as well as a mid-winter trip up the mountain."
"Why do I get the feelin' that you're about to be more trouble than an avalanche?"
