Tears of the Custra is a side quest in Gansu Watering Hole. It is available when you first unlock Gansu.
It first appeared during the Festival of Oge Mai. If you completed it then, it will not appear in Gansu. If you picked the quest up, but did not complete it, the objectives and rewards changed when the Festival was integrated into the main game.

Lore[]
There's more to the desert region than sand, sun, and stone. Most of the plants that grow here are shorter and smaller than in Luciola, but I think they're more unique. The Custra, for instance, stores Dust with water, and when it rains hard the plant "cries" purple-tinted Dust tears. I wonder if Kyiat can use those tears in anything?
